About Me
I am a Professor and Instructor of Fine Art

"Art is my breath, my passion, within it you see me."

Angelia grew up around the St. Louis, Mo area. Her mother was an artist and her passion for art was a big influence. She created art from a very early age. Her focus always went to painting.

She has trained in Paris with the best professors, completed her Bachelors Degree in Education, completed her Masters of Fine Arts, shown her work in galleries around the world and won awards that distinguish her work. Angelia currently teaches art and humanities courses at several universities both online and in the classroom. She teaches elementary school children how to draw in an after-school program, and instructs basic art skills to adults of all ages. She continues to show her work around the world and curate women’s art shows, encouraging women to discover and strengthen their voice in the community of the arts. Currently Angelia is working towards opening her own gallery and pursuing her goal of helping women of all ages in the arts.

Angelia's art and creation is generally done through paintings as she enjoys the expression through oil and acrylic paints used to express her emotions. She also enjoys sketching with pencil and charcoal.

Angelia feels painting is a magical experience that she has enjoyed since childhood. Looking at the world through an artist eyes gives one the ability to take from it what you see and create what you feel. Her intention is to create artwork that will allow the viewer to feel the world around them, see the expression of the artist and develop an emotion for what one is viewing.

Angelia Young feels that art evokes emotion and expression; within it, you will see the artist.
